Steve Coffey Secures Not-Guilty Verdict on Charges of Attempted Rape
Criminal Defense Attorney Steve Coffey obtained an acquittal last week in the jury trial of a man accused of attempted rape. An Ulster County jury acquitted a man after a 4-day trial in front of County Court Judge Donald Williams. The jury of twelve deliberated only two hours before returning a not guilty verdict.
The case was another triumph in Mr. Coffey’s long and distinguished career. A Senior Partner in our criminal defense practice, Steve’s knowledge, insight and analytical skills have translated easily from the courtroom to the media. Local television and radio stations have looked to him as a regular commentator for highly publicized local and national criminal cases. Steve has complimented his civil and criminal trial skill with an extensive appellate practice. He has also lectured and written extensively on civil and criminal trial practice.
