Conference for Health Educators Provides Statewide Audience for Pamela Nichols and End Distracted Driving

Pamela Nichols is presenting the End Distracted Driving: Student Awareness Initiative today at the New York Association for Health Physical Education Recreation and Dance (NYS APHERD) Health Education Conference at Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY. The conference program, co-presented with Joel Feldman, founder of EndDistractedDriving.org, the national non-profit that invites attorneys to educate students about distracted driving dangers, helps facilitate our mission to raise awareness of EndDD’s availability to all schools across New York State.

The annual NYS APHERD conference brings 300+ health educators from across the state for a daylong program of professional development tailored to practicing and aspiring health educators and administrators in the tri-state area. It is an ideal venue to introduce the End Distracted Driving program to health teachers so they can include the topic in their curriculum and plan EndDD presentations in their school districts and classrooms.

Since the 2012 inception of EndDD, Pam has spearheaded our firm’s involvement across New York State. To date, our growing team of volunteer attorneys have presented this free, 45-minute program to more than 14,000 students across a 15-county area of New York. O’Connell and Aronowitz joins a group of 700 attorneys in 45 states who have collectively been in front of an audience exceeding 325,000.

Pam serves on the board of directors of Trial Lawyers Care, an affiliate of the American Association for Justice, which now works with Joel Feldman to encourage members to help continue to spread the important message of EndDD. Pam also serves on the Board of the Downtown Albany Business Improvement District and as president of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association’s Capital Region Affiliate.
