Dr. Cynthia Goodman PhD NP brings a wealth of psychiatric experience, both clinical and administrative, and has maintained a robust clinical practice of psychotherapy and medication management for over 30 years.
Dr. Goodman has experience in ICU and medical surgical nursing in addition to administration at Rhode Island Hospital, a Brown University affiliated institution. She was member of Psychiatric liaison team at University of Rochester Medical Center as well as faculty member for University of Rochester School of Nursing. She has been psychiatric consultant at Carenet Medical Group and Mental Health Management of America as surveyor of state operated psychiatric facilities.
Dr. Goodman has been active on many local boards and is a Founder and Board Member of the Schenectady Cancer Foundation.
Her clinical experience spans the breadth of medical surgical nursing, ICU and psychiatry treating patients at state institutions, private and university hospitals and private out-patient settings. She is practitioner and consultant to Maven, a digital healthcare forum for women. She is certified legal nurse consultant and has reviewed case for law offices.
Dr. Goodman earned her BS at Rhode Island College. She earned her Master of Science in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Boston University and has worked both inpatient and outpatient at Beth Israel Hospital, a Harvard affiliated hospital in Boston, MA. Sher earned her PhD from Syracuse University.
