Paul C. Pastore

Paul C. Pastore is a partner in our Business Law department, concentrating on bankruptcy, business transactions, collections, commercial litigation, contracts, creditors’ rights, land use, mortgage foreclosures and municipal law. While representing banks, financial institutions, lenders and creditors, Mr. Pastore devotes time to the collection of consumer and commercial debts, and enforcing money judgments.  Paul has relied upon the procedures available under NY CLPR Article 52 to handle thousands of cases from pre-litigation to post-judgment.  He represents creditors in bankruptcy proceedings, loan workouts, mortgage foreclosures and replevin matters, and serves as local creditor’s counsel for numerous state and nation-wide lenders and law firms.

Mr. Pastore is licensed to practice in New York and Massachusetts, and in the United States Federal District Court for the Northern and Western Districts of New York.  He is a member of the New York State Bar Association; the American Bar Association; the Albany County Bar Association and the Capital Region Bankruptcy Bar Association.

Prior to joining O’Connell and Aronowitz, Mr. Pastore worked at the firm of McNamee, Lochner, Titus & Williams, P.C., and was a partner for 22 years.  Paul has assisted local municipalities with their legal needs, serving as Town Prosecutor, an Assistant Town Attorney, the Town Attorney, and Counsel for the Planning and Zoning Boards.  Paul served as a Guilderland Town Councilman for 16 years.

Paul earned his Juris Doctor degree from Albany Law School where he was nominated to the Moot Court Board and served on the school’s Environmental Law and Entertainment Law Moot Court Teams.  He is a Dean’s Honor List graduate of the University of Notre Dame where he earned a B.A. in Government/International Relations.  During his sophomore year at Notre Dame, Paul attended a full year foreign study program and resided in Rome, Italy.

In 2020, Mr. Pastore was again named to the Upstate New York Super Lawyers list, an honor he first received in 2012, and a distinction earned by less than 5% of attorneys in the state.  Paul has earned a distinguished rating by Martindale-Hubbell in both legal ability and ethical standards.

Paul is a past member of the Capital Region Executives.  He enjoys participating and volunteering in many charitable causes and organizations, including the Albany Medical Center Children’s Hospital, the Center for the Disabled Family of Services and the Notre Dame Club of Northeastern New York.
