Graig contributes to the versatility of O’Connell and Aronowitz’s legal services for Capital Region residents. He was brought in as an integral part the firm’s Business Law & Transactions practice group. He represents small businesses in asset acquisitions and sales, corporate formations, and advises clients in commercial litigation matters. He also represents private real estate clients, developers, banks and other institutional lenders in their real estate transactions. Graig’s understanding of the loan process from all angles enables the firm to advise business clients throughout the closing process while providing representation across a range of real estate legal matters including contract negotiation, lease disputes, and adverse possession matters.
Graig also practices civil litigation and employment law, representing employers and employees in employment discrimination, FLSA, FMLA and labor law matters. Additionally, Graig provides estate planning services for his clients, including will and trust preparation.
Prior to joining O’Connell and Aronowitz, Graig was Partner with a regional law firm and was previously founder of his own solo practice and its in-house title company. His general practice law firm focused on real estate, small business and civil litigation. Before starting his own firm, Graig served as an associate attorney at Upstate New York law firms in Rochester, Clifton Park, and Latham.
Graig has been admitted to practice in all New York State courts, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Western and Northern Districts. He is a current member of the New York State Bar Association.
Graig received his juris doctorate from Albany Law School of Union University in Albany, New York. While attending Albany Law, he served as an appellate advocacy team member, appellate coach and executive board member of the school’s Moot Court Program, in addition to serving as an article editor for the school’s Environmental Outlook Law Journal. He received a bachelor’s degree from Siena College in Political Science.
