ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE SPECIALIST

O’Connell and Aronowitz is looking for an on-site Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our accounting department.  This position is part-time with full-time potential.  The ideal candidate needs to be detail-oriented, flexible, able to multi-task, and adhere to set deadlines.  The hourly rate for this position is $23 – $25 per hour, based on experience.

Job Duties:

  • Process monthly statements for the attorneys
  • Monitor and collect accounts receivable by contacting clients via email and phone
  • Perform daily cash management duties, including making deposits, processing credit card payments, and posting cash in the billing system
  • Setup new clients in billing system
  • Reconcile accounts, review aging monthly and work with attorneys to determine if any old balances need to go to collections
  • Other A/R billing duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Proficient Data Entry Skills
  • Microsoft Word, Excel
  • Minimum 3-5 years accounts receivable experience (law firm preferred)
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with attorneys and clients

MARKETING DIRECTOR

O’Connell and Aronowitz is looking for an experienced Marketing Director to be responsible for planning and management of our marketing efforts. The Marketing Director will develop and implement marketing strategies, conduct market research, manage marketing campaigns, and collaborate with internal teams to promote the firm’s services and brand.  This is a hybrid role, allowing for flexibility to work remotely.  The hourly rate for this position is $30 – $33 per hour, based on experience.

Qualifications:

  • Marketing Planning, Marketing Management and Market Research skills
  • Experience in developing and implementing marketing strategies
  • Strong knowledge of marketing principles and best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field
  • Experience in the legal industry is a plus

LEGAL ASSISTANT – HEALTH DEPARTMENT

O’Connell and Aronowitz is looking for an on-site legal assistant to join our Health Law department.  The legal assistant will be responsible for supporting Attorneys and Paralegals and requires experience working in an office environment, preferably a law firm, and knowledge of office administration.  This position is full-time, with a 40-hour work week, Monday – Friday, with an annual salary of $43,000 – $53,000 per year, based on experience.

Job Duties:

  • Processing incoming and outgoing mail
  • Coordinate meetings
  • Assist with Telephone Calls, ECF filings, and monitoring electronic dockets (Federal and State)
  • File and document management

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal, writing, proofreading, typing and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (PracticeMaster / TABS and Worldox a plus)

LAW CLERKS

Every summer, O’Connell and Aronowitz seeks a studious and passionate law clerk for our thriving practice. The successful candidate will work with several different Attorneys daily, managing his or her schedule based on current demand. If you are a law student (L2 or L3) with excellent grades and a flexible schedule, you will be perfect for this position. We offer the opportunity to gain experience with Attorneys who serve in a wide variety of capacities representing clients in litigation, business, health facilities. The law clerk will have a broad range of duties including conducting legal research, preparing memos, drafting motions and legal briefs and supports attorneys by assembling and organizing information for legal documents; researching law; assembling case materials; writing reports and memoranda.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to draft motions
  • Ability to independently handle multiple priorities and deadlines while simultaneously functioning smoothly as part of a team in a close-knit environment
  • Impeccable writing, organizational, and communication skills are a MUST
  • Must be L2 or L3
