Supporting Boys & Girls Clubs of Schenectady on #IBDayofAction
Each year, thousands of children in the Capital District start the new school year without having the necessary materials to help them succeed in the classroom and beyond.
To do our part in helping prepare local children, our firm worked with Boys & Girls Clubs of Schenectady by volunteering our time at the Club as part of a nationwide community outreach event — known as the Injury Board Day of Action (#IBDayofAction).
On Thursday, August 4th, our attorneys and staff were on site at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Schenectady’s Mont Pleasant location participating in an onsite service project to repaint the facility’s gymnasium.
Following our service day, we launched a 2-week donation campaign to collect school supplies for the 12,000 children across Schenectady ages 6-18 who are served by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Schenectady. Through the generosity of our staff, clients and vendors, we were able to donate 30 winter coats, 50 backpacks, school supplies and other personal items to assist B&GCs to meet the needs of the students and families in their service area.
The IB Day of Action is a nationwide, collaborative effort to bring together more than 100 plaintiffs’ lawyer firms from across the U.S. — all working for the same cause on the same day.
