Proud Sponsors of 2017 Capital Pride Festival

O’Connell and Aronowitz is a proud sponsor of the 2017 Capital Pride Festival. The celebration, held on June 11 in Albany’s Washington Park, is the premier annual event of the Pride Center of the Capital Region. Since 1970, the Pride Center of the Capital Region has been the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer community’s center of the Capital Region.

As a firm, we have made a commitment to support the diverse legal needs of the Capital District’s LGBTQ community. Since 2016, we have been corporate sponsor of Our Community Magazine, a media and publishing company the provides LGBTQ communities across the country with a resource of recommended, quality service providers through “LGBTQ friendly” business directories. In the legal arena, we recently sponsored the LGBT Law Series at Albany Law School. The event, held in March at Government Law Center of Albany Law School, focused on legal issues facing transgender individuals.

We are honored to have been recognized for our long-standing commitment to community service and hold firm to our belief in the need to serve the diverse communities in which we live and work. This tradition of service exemplifies the O’Connell and Aronowitz spirit.
