Kurt Bratten to Present at Cybersecurity Symposium

Kurt Bratten is slated to present at the 6th Annual Cybersecurity Symposium hosted by GreyCastle Security.  The event, entitled “Cybersecurity Bipedalism: The Next Evolution of Risk, Resilience and Reality“, combines GreyCastle’s nationally-recognized cybersecurity experts with experienced industry professionals in a conversation about the evolution of cybersecurity, cybercrime, trust-based decision making and how the corporate world reacts to cyberattacks.

Held on September 26th at the Albany Capital Center, the conference will present attendees with insights into the bright future of cybersecurity and new strategies for protecting valuable assets.

Opening speaker Tony Sager, is Senior Vice President and Chief Evangelist for CIS (The Center for Internet Security). Sager retired from the National Security Agency (NSA) after 34 years as an Information Assurance professional. Keynote speaker is Brian Krebs, an independent investigative reporter who writes about cybercrime at the award-winning website KrebsOnSecurity.com, and was formerly with The Washington Post.

Breakout sessions aim to address the myriad needs of attendees and will be segmented by specific tracks including Leadership, Legal, Technical, Business and Human tracks. Kurt Bratten will present on the legal track. Heading up our firm’s Cybersecurity and HIPAA practice areas, he assists clients with the assessment of security incidents, HIPAA compliance, breach response, and represents clients before state and federal agencies relating to various cyber security and privacy matters.
