COVID-19 and Child Support Obligations
Many of our clients have had questions regarding their child support obligations as they endure job losses or income reductions in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Although the Courts have not yet been able to address most of these situations, the Empire Justice Center has recently issued some guidance on support modifications and on the potential garnishment of stimulus checks: https://empirejustice.org/resources_post/covid-19-faq-stimulus-checks-child-support/
Will Berglund, Kelly Mikullitz, and Flo Richardson, the Matrimonial and Family Law attorneys at O’Connell and Aronowitz, remain available during these difficult times to discuss these or any other family law-related issues. We can be reached at 518-462-5601 or at www.oalaw.com.
