Our residential real estate practice handles hundreds of residential bank closings, sales and purchases each year. Working with originators, brokers, builders, developers, purchasers and sellers, we conduct closings in both our Albany and our Plattsburgh offices. We coordinate all aspects of real estate transactions: drafting and reviewing Purchase and Sale Contracts; negotiations with other attorneys; monitoring contingency dates; reviewing inspection and title reports; drafting all necessary closing documents and conducting and attending the closing.

Our attorneys represent in excess of 25 lending institutions, including lenders that handle conforming and nonconforming loans. As soon as we receive a file or application from the lender, we conduct a file review and contact the borrower directly. As approved closing agents for Chicago Title Insurance Company and Fidelity National Title, we are able to arrange a quick turnaround on title. Our attorneys and closing coordinators work closely with the borrower and his or her counsel, the lender, mortgage broker, loan processor, and realtors throughout the transaction to facilitate the closing process.
