Civil Litigation
The O'Connell & Aronowitz civil litigation practice is one of its most well-known and extensive
practice areas. It combines the health care, commercial, employment discrimination, personal
injury, and intellectual property litigation practices and is broad in scope as the firm represents
individuals and businesses.
Our attorneys have extensive civil litigation experience in all federal and state courts, in administrative proceedings before federal and state governmental agencies, as well as in arbitration and alternative dispute resolution proceedings. We represent both plaintiffs and defendants in all phases of civil litigation, from pre-litigation through trial and (if necessary) appellate stages. Our attorneys have also successfully represented clients before the United States Supreme Court. In addition to more common civil litigation such as Article 78 proceedings used to challenge government regulatory actions, and declaratory judgment proceedings, we represent plaintiffs in class action litigation, Indian gaming disputes, products liability, catastrophic injury cases, federal civil rights cases, Medicare and Medicaid fraud and abuse litigation and other complex litigation. Our attorneys offer the experience and skills necessary to help our clients achieve their goals, including the avoidance of litigation, if that is in the client's best interest. For more information regarding our Civil Litigation practice, please contact Jeffrey Sherrin, Neil Rivchin, Thomas DiNovo or Jane Bello Burke. In our Plattsburgh office, contact William Favreau. |
