Nancy Sciocchetti Seminar Slated for ACLAIMH Conference
Monday, Aug 20, 2012Nancy Sciocchetti has been a selected as a featured presenter at the 33rd Annual Conference of the Association of Community Living Agencies in Mental Health to be held at The Sagamore Resort and Conference Center in November. The workshop, entitled “Board Functions and Best Practices – Right from Start!”, will draw on Nancy’s extensive experience managing volunteer Boards for various local and regional community-based organizations.
The Association for Community Living is a statewide membership organization of not-for-profit agencies that provide housing and rehabilitation services to over 25,000 people diagnosed with serious and persistent psychiatric disabilities. ACL advocates and lobbies on behalf of hits members on mental health issues with New York State, federal and local government, and the public.
Nancy is a senior partner and supervisor of our Health Law practice. She concentrates in the area of health care and general corporate enterprise development and transactions. Her clients include corporate clients, individual healthcare practitioners, owners and administrators of health care facilities, mental health facilities, senior residences, assisted living facilities, home care services agencies, and physicians' groups. Nancy has spoken on topics involving health care licensing, corporate formation, not-for-profit corporate issues, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and various issues in health law to trade association groups, and to the Albany County and New York State Bar Associations.
A recipient of the Legal Aid Society Distinguished Service Award, Nancy is listed in the publication Outstanding Young Women in America. She is the past President of both the Italian-American Bar Association and the Board of Trustees of The Brown School. Nancy is the President of the Board of Directors of The Susan G. Komen Foundation for the Cure and she sits on the Board of Our Lady of Hope Nursing Facility. She is also involved in a number of local and national charitable organizations and was the recipient of the 2010 Outstanding Community Service Award by the Little Sisters of the Poor.
