    Mr. Weiskopf is Of Counsel in our Albany office, heading up the Matrimonial and Bankruptcy departments of the firm. He has lectured for the New York State Bar Association Continuing Legal Education programs on bankruptcy issues and to the Capital Region Bankruptcy Bar Association on the interplay of matrimonial issues with bankruptcy law. Mr. Weiskopf was the attorney responsible for establishing a guiding theory of interest rates to be paid on car loans in Chapter 13 proceedings (In re Valente). He was also the attorney responsible for reducing interest to be paid on delinquent real property taxes in New York State in Chapter 13 proceedings (In re Dominick). Both were under the former Bankruptcy Code.

    An active member of the local community, Mr. Weiskopf has been involved with many civic and religious organizations throughout his career. Presently he is Executive Vice-President of Congregation Gates of Heaven in Schenectady, NY and will assume the Presidency in July of 2007.

    Mr. Weiskopf is a graduate of Albany Law School and Case Western Reserve University. He is admitted to practice in the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Department; the U.S. District Court, Northern District of New York and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is a member of the Schenectady County Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association. He is a founding member and former President of the Capital Region Bankruptcy Bar Association.
