Prior to working in the firm's litigation department, Ms. Nichols practiced extensively in our Health Law department, representing health care facilities, practitioners and suppliers. In this capacity, she advised clients on licensure, reimbursement, billing and receivables, medical records issues and regulatory compliance and discipline. Ms. Nichols has lectured widely on such topics as: the admission and discharge of long-term care residents, collection of accounts receivable, confidentiality matters related to the maintenance and release of HIV/AIDS records, and provider response and compliance to subpoenas and search warrants. Before coming to O'Connell and Aronowitz, Ms. Nichols worked extensively in the area of medical malpractice and personal injury defense litigation. Ms. Nichols is a graduate of Fordham University and Albany Law School. She is a member of the Elder Law section of the Albany County Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association and the Women's Bar Association. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the Clifton Park Youth Hockey Organization.
