Ms. Burke presents regularly on topics affecting health care providers, including judicial and regulatory developments, medical records privacy, and end-of-life issues. She presented on "The Enforceability of Arbitration Agreements in Long-Term Care: Federal Preemption and State Law Challenges" at the American Health Lawyers Association 2006 National Conference. Her article entitled "The Use of Pre-Dispute Arbitration Clauses in New York Nursing Home Agreements" was published in the Health Law Journal of the NYS Bar Association (Winter 2006). Ms. Burke is a magna cum laude graduate of Georgetown University and a cum laude graduate of the American University/Washington College of Law. She began her career as a litigator at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in New York City. She is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, the New York State and Albany County Bar Associations. She is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court, Southern, Northern and Eastern Districts of New York; and the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Second Judicial Department.
